Many regard Antarctica as a life bucket-list destination, yet often hold back because it's so far away, so extreme, and so costly. Beyond setting foot at the end of the world, landing on glaciers and seeing penguins, what other reasons are there that make Antarctica a must-visit?
This November, we're partnering with Chris Leung to launch an in-depth Antarctica journey. To us, the meaning of this trip lies in learning to appreciate nature's purest and most powerful force; in seizing the chance to visit a polar environment that faces climate challenges and evolves with every passing moment; and in letting Antarctica's wonder and fragility teach us lessons about vitality and cherishing what we have.
Since the launch of this in-depth Antarctica journey, we've received enthusiastic enquiries and friends have been signing up one after another — thank you all for your support. To answer everyone's questions about the trip and to give you a deeper understanding of Antarctica's splendour, Chris and Sarah-Louise, a representative of the polar cruise company Quark, will host a talk to share the most fascinating ecotourism stories, offer professional insights into Antarctica's unique ecosystem, and discuss the challenges and responsibilities of ecotourism. In addition, they will detail the itinerary highlights, daily activities and life on board, and answer common questions such as equipment requirements.
