About this event

At the mere mention of Iran, most people instinctively conjure up a whole list of problems: danger, evil, sanctions… Yet the authoritative travel guide Lonely Planet describes Iran this way: could be the friendliest country on Earth. Over the past 10 years, we have taken many friends on in-depth tours of Iran, and we feel that the real Iran is a world apart from all the various negative labels. Persian civilisation boasts over 3,000 years of history, and the architectural artistry it has left in Iran is among the most beautiful in the world—the most exquisite mosques, the most magnificent squares, the most opulent palaces. Speaking of Iran's beauty, we cannot fail to mention the local people. Iranians are extraordinarily warm and hospitable, and along the way you'll often receive unexpected invitations—hugs and greetings, conversations and selfies, meals and treats—everywhere you can feel an abundance of welcome, sincerity and human warmth. This way of treating every traveller like a star is something you can probably only find in Iran. Our Iran in-depth tour route travels through ten cities along a north-south line, with exclusive visits to Qom, the Shia Islamic holy city, Qazvin, the World Heritage caravan-stop city in the north, and Masuleh Village, which past travellers have loved so much. In addition, in the capital Tehran, we will apply to enter the former US Embassy in Iran, and in Isfahan we will stay at the Abbasi Hotel, which CNN has called the "most beautiful hotel in the Middle East." There is so much more we'd like to share about the wonders of Iran. In late March, we will hold two online talks, in which founder Rubio @rubiocsk will share travel stories from Iran and the highlights of our itinerary. The content is the same on both days, so interested friends are welcome to join either session. We look forward to seeing you!
