DeWonder Balkans & Kosovo In-Depth Tour — Online Talk

When you think of the Balkans, you might picture scenic lakes, multi-ethnic conflict, or Europe's historic powder keg. But this land holds far more than conflict — it is home to millennia-old civilisational heritage, a fusion of cultures, and a search for the future. On this journey, we will explore 7 countries in depth, venturing into Kosovo, a place no conventional tour group reaches, to meet the locals and understand the story of this land from different perspectives. You will wander the cobbled streets of the Old Town of Mostar in Bosnia, witnessing a thousand years of confrontation and coexistence between Christianity and Islam; stand atop the walls of Dubrovnik in Croatia, a filming location for "Game of Thrones", gazing over the magnificent expanse of the Adriatic Sea; discover in Serbia the historical transformation of a former "socialist paradise"; and step into Sarajevo, sharing a deeply meaningful lunch and conversation with survivors of the siege. Most uniquely, in Kosovo — a young nation that has endured war and is still fighting for international recognition — we will meet local community-building organisations and media journalists, and hear how they are building a future amid turmoil. We will hold two online talks in late March, where founder Jamie will share his travels through the Balkans and Kosovo, along with the highlights of our itinerary.
