【Past Onboard Guest – Chris Leung】

Chris Leung, a travel programme host and producer, has helmed numerous ecology-focused travel shows over the years, including ViuTV's "Wanderlust" series and J2's "Backpacking Journey" series. Rich in ecological knowledge and field experience, he graduated from the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at Princeton University in the United States. He has interned at grassland reserves in East Africa, observed whales up close within the Arctic Circle, camped on glaciers in Alaska, trekked at night through the Amazon rainforest, viewed Komodo dragons at close range in Indonesia, sought out giant tortoises and hammerhead sharks on the "Evolution Islands" of the Galápagos, and tracked anteaters across the South American grasslands. Guided by the spirit of "the world is vast—it would be a waste not to see it," he earned his "Divemaster" qualification in 2018, and during 2020–2021 delivered two series of eight online zoology lectures grounded in academic theory. In 2019 and 2023 he published two written works respectively: "And So, I Backpacked the Earth." and "Once Again, Wandering the Earth." A Ferrari is no match for a safari, free-flow drinks no match for a tank-on-your-back dive—the natural world is what truly reigns supreme.
