【The Hallmarks of DeWonder Travel's Bhutan Itinerary】
DeWonder Travel will take you to the mysterious little kingdom of Bhutan, visiting important temples and historic sites in search of the secret behind the locals' "happiness." We will visit key local temples to learn about the deep-rooted influence of Tibetan Buddhism, while also touching on the tensions surrounding religious freedom; and we will engage with the locals, gaining a genuine understanding through conversation of the thinking behind the happiness of the Bhutanese people, as well as the opportunities and challenges brought by recent social development. In this country that is not open to independent travel, our unique itinerary and commentary will give you a profound understanding of this mysterious land's new face.
You will also take part in the Tshechu Festival, a religious festival held annually in Bhutan, organised by region or district, taking place on the tenth day of a certain month of the Tibetan calendar. Different regions hold the Tshechu Festival in different months, roughly concentrated in March, April, September and October. It is a religious festival of the Drukpa lineage within the Kagyu school of Tibetan Buddhism.
The Tshechu Festival is a grand social gathering, its main purpose being to connect people living far away with remote villages. When the Tshechu Festival is held, the same location often attracts large markets with frequent business dealings. The Tshechus of Thimphu and Paro are the largest of all, drawing the most enthusiastic crowds.

Additional Notes
- During the tour, the local guide will provide commentary in English or Chinese, while the in-depth tour leader will provide commentary in Cantonese. If needed, the tour leader can also supplement the commentary in English or Mandarin.
- If the hotels specified in the above itinerary are unable to provide accommodation, we will arrange for a stay at a hotel of the same class.
- The local guide may adjust the itinerary according to circumstances at the time. Should part of the itinerary be unable to proceed as scheduled, our team will make every effort to provide the best alternative.
