【Highlights of the DeWonder Travel Bhutan Itinerary】
DeWonder Travel will take you to the mysterious little kingdom of Bhutan, visiting important temples and historic sites in search of the secret behind the locals' "happiness." We will visit the country's key temples, learning about the deep-rooted influence of Tibetan Buddhism on the land while also touching on its tensions with religious freedom. Through conversations with locals, you will gain a genuine understanding of the thinking behind Bhutanese happiness, as well as the opportunities and challenges brought by recent social development. In this country that is not open to independent travel, our unique itinerary and commentary will give you a profound understanding of the new face of this mysterious land.
We will also take part in the Tshechu Festival, a religious festival held annually in Bhutan, organised by region or district, taking place on the tenth day of a certain month in the Tibetan calendar. Different regions hold the Tshechu in different months, roughly concentrated in March, April, September and October. It is a religious festival of the Drukpa lineage within the Kagyu school of Tibetan Buddhism.
The Tshechu is a grand social gathering, whose main purpose is to connect people living far away with remote villages. When the Tshechu is held, the same location often attracts large markets with brisk commercial trade. The Tshechu festivals of Thimphu and Paro are the largest of all, with the most enthusiastic crowds.

Additional Notes
- During the tour, the local guide will give commentary in English, while the in-depth tour leader will give commentary in Cantonese. If needed, the tour leader can also provide supplementary commentary in English or Mandarin.
- If the hotels specified in the above itinerary are unable to provide accommodation, we will arrange for a hotel of the same class.
- The local guide may adjust the itinerary content according to circumstances. If part of the itinerary cannot proceed as scheduled, our team will do its utmost to provide the best alternative arrangements.
