Trip Overview
【Highlights of DeWonder Travel's Bhutan Itinerary】
DeWonder Travel will take you to visit the mysterious little kingdom of Bhutan, exploring important temples and historic sites, and seeking out the secret behind the local pursuit of "happiness." We will visit the region's key temples to understand the deep-rooted influence of Tibetan Buddhism, while also touching on the tensions surrounding religious freedom. Through exchanges with locals, we will gain a genuine understanding of the thinking behind the Bhutanese sense of happiness, as well as the opportunities and challenges brought by recent social development. In this country that is closed to independent travel, our exclusive itinerary and commentary will give you a profound understanding of this mysterious land's new face.
We will also take part in the Tshechu Festival, a religious festival held annually in Bhutan. Organised by district or county, it takes place on the tenth day of a particular month in the Tibetan calendar. Different regions hold their Tshechu in different months, largely concentrated in March, April, September and October. It is a religious festival of the Drukpa lineage within the Kagyu school of Tibetan Buddhism.
The Tshechu is a grand social gathering, its main purpose being to connect people living in distant places and remote villages. When a Tshechu is held, the same location often attracts large markets with brisk trade. The Tshechu festivals of Thimphu and Paro are the largest of all, drawing the most enthusiastic crowds.

Why Travel to Bhutan With Us?
DeWonder's founder began organising in-depth Bhutan tours a decade ago and has built an extensive network across Bhutan, arranging meetings with everyone from royal family members and members of parliament to religious temples.
DeWonder was authorised to assist Bhutan in selling tickets in Hong Kong for the Ed Sheeran concert in Bhutan — the first international superstar concert since the founding of the nation.
Special cultural exchange activities are arranged locally, making every Bhutan experience a cultural and religious revelation.
We are also the special agent for the COMO hotel where Tony Leung and Carina Lau stayed when they married in Bhutan — please feel free to contact us to arrange a booking.
We tailor-made a one-of-a-kind Bhutan filming journey for Ah Jie and Ka Ying Gor, including shooting wedding photos in traditional Bhutanese wedding attire and taking a helicopter to admire Tiger's Nest Monastery.
We deeply understand the magic of community — our in-depth Bhutan tours depart with an average of 8–14 people, capped at 16.
