【The Hallmarks of a DeWonder Travel Tibet Itinerary】
The DeWonder Travel team takes you to visit the region's most important monasteries, giving you insight into the social significance and symbolism of Buddhism in Tibet; step into the homes of Tibetan locals to understand their daily lives and their views on the social changes of recent years; admire Mount Everest up close and visit the world's highest monastery; visit a thangka academy and paint your very own one-of-a-kind thangka artwork. Throughout the journey you will stay in premium hotels, offering a comfortable place to rest and making it easier to acclimatise to the high plateau.
We will take part in the Shoton Festival—Tibet's most important festival. The Shoton Festival is held each year from the end of the sixth to the beginning of the seventh month of the Tibetan calendar, when tens of thousands of Buddhists make their pilgrimage to Lhasa to worship the Buddha with the utmost devotion. "Shoton" means "yoghurt banquet" in Tibetan; besides eating yoghurt, there are also Tibetan opera performances and the Buddha-unveiling ceremony, making for a grand and lively spectacle.

Tour Cost
Included
- ✓All local transport within Tibet throughout the tour, with a tour coach for the entire journey (free time excepted)
- ✓Accommodation in double rooms at Tibetan hotels throughout the tour, on a shared-room basis, one per half room (upgrade to a single room available for a supplement of HKD 4,900)
- ✓All local meals during the tour (breakfast, lunch and dinner daily, free time excepted)
- ✓One Tibet expert guide accompanying the group
- ✓At least one DeWonder Travel in-depth tour leader guiding the group
- ✓Admission fees to all attractions during the itinerary (excluding free time)
- ✓A Tibet information pack, Tibet travel tips and related reading materials compiled by experts and the DeWonder Travel team
- ✓A stamp duty equivalent to 0.15% of the tour fare, to obtain coverage under the "Travel Industry Compensation Fund" and the "Package Tour Accident Contingency Fund Scheme"

- ✕Round-trip transport between Hong Kong and Tibet
- ✕Additional personal spending (meals and drinks during free time, activities outside the itinerary, and souvenirs)
- ✕Tips for the tour leader, Tibet guide and driver, with a minimum amount of RMB 1,500
- ✕China entry visa (not required for holders of a Home Return Permit)
- ✕Tibet Travel Permit (the permit fee for non-HKSAR passport holders is HKD 600)
- ✕Travel insurance
Additional Notes
- During the tour, the local guide will give explanations in Mandarin, while the in-depth tour leader will explain in Cantonese. If needed, the tour leader can also provide supplementary explanations in English or Mandarin.
- If the hotels specified in the above itinerary are unable to provide accommodation, we will arrange for a stay at a hotel of the same class.
- The local guide may adjust the itinerary according to circumstances at the time. Should any part of the itinerary be unable to proceed as scheduled, our team will make every effort to provide the best possible alternative arrangements.
