【Expedition Team: Quark Expeditions】
Founded in 1991, Quark Expeditions brings 33 years of experience specialising in taking travellers to remote polar regions. The team boasts a professional fleet of expedition ships equipped with modern facilities, led by seasoned polar experts and scientists. All expedition staff receive comprehensive training at the Quark Academy, and every staff member attends a polar expedition internship before their first voyage, while experienced staff undergo continuous professional development.
Beyond traditional polar cruising, Quark Expeditions also offers a variety of activities such as glacier hiking and kayaking, allowing us to experience the magnificent polar landscapes and rich wildlife ecology first-hand in diverse ways. The team also shares their expertise across various fields including polar history, marine biology, glaciology, ornithology and photography.

Tour Cost
Included
- ✓Accommodation in Iceland hotels and aboard the Arctic cruise throughout the itinerary, based on double occupancy per person (upgrade to single occupancy for a supplement of HKD 52,800)
- ✓Group transfer service from the hotel to the ship on Day 2, and from the ship to Reykjavík city centre on Day 11
- ✓All local meals during the itinerary (breakfast, lunch and dinner daily, except during free time)
- ✓Admission fees to all attractions during the itinerary (except during free time)
- ✓An Arctic information pack, Arctic travel guidelines and related reading materials compiled by experts and the DeWonder Travel team
- ✓A stamp fee equivalent to 0.15% of the tour fare, to obtain protection under the Travel Industry Compensation Fund and the Package Tour Accident Contingency Fund Scheme
Not Included
- ✕Round-trip air tickets from Hong Kong to Iceland
- ✕Additional personal expenses (meals during free time, food and drinks, activities outside the itinerary, and souvenirs)
- ✕All local transportation in Iceland during the itinerary
- ✕Gratuities for the onboard crew, with a minimum of US$30 per day
- ✕Travel insurance
Additional Notes
- During the itinerary, the onboard staff will give explanations in English, while the in-depth tour leader will provide commentary in Cantonese. If required, the tour leader can also supplement the explanations in English or Mandarin.
- The local guide may adjust the itinerary content according to circumstances at the time. Should any part of the itinerary be unable to proceed as scheduled, our team will make every effort to provide the best alternative arrangements.
