Trip Overview
Founded in 1991, Quark Expeditions has 33 years of experience specialising in taking passengers to remote polar regions. The team operates a professional fleet of expedition vessels equipped with modern facilities, led by experienced polar experts and scientists. All expedition staff receive comprehensive training at Quark Academy, and every crew member undergoes a polar expedition internship before their first voyage, while seasoned staff receive ongoing professional training.
Beyond traditional polar cruising, Quark Expeditions also offers a variety of activities such as glacier hiking and kayaking, allowing us to experience the magnificent polar landscapes and rich wildlife firsthand in diverse ways. The team also shares their expertise across various fields including polar history, marine biology, glaciology, ornithology and photography.

Tour Cost
Included
- ✓Accommodation in Iceland hotels and aboard the Arctic cruise during the itinerary in a double room, on a per-person shared-room basis (upgrade to a single room for a surcharge of HKD 52,800)
- ✓Group transfer service from the hotel to the ship on the second day of the itinerary, and from the ship to central Reykjavik on the eleventh day
- ✓All local meals during the itinerary (breakfast, lunch and dinner daily, except during free time)
- ✓Admission fees to all attractions during the itinerary (except during free time)
- ✓An Arctic information pack, Arctic travel notes and related reading materials compiled by experts and the DeWonder Travel team
- ✓A stamp duty equivalent to 0.15% of the tour fare, to obtain coverage under the "Travel Industry Compensation Fund" and the "Package Tour Accident Emergency Assistance Fund Scheme"
Not Included
- ✕Round-trip air tickets between Hong Kong and Iceland
- ✕Additional personal expenses (meals during free time, food and drinks, activities outside the itinerary, and souvenirs)
- ✕All local transportation in Iceland during the itinerary
- ✕Tips for the onboard crew, with a minimum amount of US$30 per day
- ✕Travel insurance
Additional Notes
- During the trip, the onboard staff will present in English, while the in-depth tour leader will present in Cantonese. If needed, the tour leader can also provide supplementary explanations in English or Mandarin.
- The local guide may adjust the itinerary according to circumstances at the time. Should any part of the itinerary be unable to proceed as scheduled, our team will make every effort to provide the best alternative arrangements.
