The official currency of Mongolia is the Mongolian Tugrik (MNT). Most shops also accept credit cards, but it is advisable to carry a small amount of cash as well.

Mongolia has a large temperature difference between day and night, so it is advisable to bring plenty of warm clothing and dress in layers, using the "onion-style" approach. When entering religious sites, you should pay special attention to dress codes. Remove your hat and shoes before visiting temples, and at stupas or other places of worship, walk clockwise to show respect.

The capital, Ulaanbaatar, has a stable signal, but coverage is limited, and once you leave the capital for the countryside the signal may be interrupted. You can buy a SIM card locally—SIM cards (such as Mobicom and UNITEL) are available at Mongolia's airport—or activate international roaming. Some hotel accommodations may provide Wi-Fi, but at limited speeds.

As a nomadic people, Mongolians favour dishes based on meat, dairy products and noodles. The most famous include barbecued meat (Khorkhog), hand-pulled mutton (Khorkhog Makh) and milk skin (Urum). Although vegetarian options are limited, noodles, fried rice and bean products can also serve as staples. If you have any special dietary requirements, please let us know in advance so we can make arrangements as early as possible.

Restrooms in the capital, Ulaanbaatar, are clean and hygienic, but in remote rural areas the toilet facilities are more basic. We recommend bringing your own wet wipes, tissues, and carrying sanitising alcohol or hand sanitiser.

The official language is Mongolian, but most guides and locals can speak English fluently, so basic travel communication poses no barrier.

The horse riding and camel riding experiences each last about 1 hour. Only one person may ride each camel (or horse), and every 1 to 4 participants will be led by a professional wrangler/camel guide.
The activity is very safe. Before the experience begins, staff will provide verbal explanations and written instructions to ensure participants master the correct riding techniques and safety points.

Please be sure to confirm that any insurance you purchase yourself covers "amateur sporting activities" (i.e. non-professional competition).

• Day 3: Terelj National Park to Elsen Tasarkhai, about 4 hours.
• Day 6: Kharkhorin to Ulaanbaatar, passing through Khustai National Park, with a total drive of about 5 to 6 hours (depending on city traffic conditions, the coach may need an additional 1 to 1.5 hours).
• Rest arrangements: Multiple stops will be arranged along the way for everyone to use the restroom, buy coffee, or get off at scenic spots to relax and take photos.

Most of the route is on paved roads. The only exception is the way to the Orkhon Valley, which includes about 30 to 45 minutes of gravel road; however, the road conditions are fairly smooth and not overly bumpy.
